About

Located in Worcester, a short walk from both Shrub Hill and Foregate Street Stations, Worcester Judo Club provides first class training and coaching

Worcester Judo Club was founded in 1983 and has a strong tradition of developing judoka from novice to expert, as the city’s longest running judo club. Our family-friendly club supports a range of talent, catering for all ages from 5 to 95! Whether you are an international-level athlete or just interested in a sport that will keep you fit and increase your mental agility, we welcome you to come along and join us.
Judo has long been recognised as an outstanding physical and mental discipline, promoting flexibility, strength and skill. In fact, in a recent report UNESCO concluded that judo is the best initial training sport for young people as it promotes a comprehensive physical education. The report also highlighted that judo enables healthy relationships with others, developing discipline, self-confidence and core values of mutual respect, honesty and friendship.
We are a friendly and professional club run by a dedicated team of volunteers and our doors are open to those wanting to give judo a try for the first time alongside seasoned judoka travelling through the city wanting to visit the dojo for a session on the mats.
